World Champion and Premier League winner Gary Anderson (6/1) is the most popular of the big three players with punters ahead of Saturday’s opening games in the World Matchplay, according to sponsors BetVictor.
BetVictor spokesperson Charlie McCann told Betrescue: “Gary Anderson is the one punters are looking to back and we don’t know how much longer the 6/1 will last, but our traders are keen to take him on given he is likely to have to beat a resurgent James Wade, 15-time Matchplay champion Phil Taylor and world number one Michael van Gerwen if he is to lift the Trophy in Blackpool in ten days-time.
