£20 Each way double returns £100

Paul Ferguson two selections for us on Thursday; Racing History in the Goodwood 2.05 and Quick Jack in the Galway 4.45. Compare odds and bet.

The Galway Hurdle looks as competitive as ever, but QUICK JACK (4:45) remains on a fair mark and can gain a deserved big race success.

Tony Martin’s six-year-old impressively won a 2m handicap on the Flat at the festival 12 months ago and since then has finished placed in the Cesarewitch, the County Hurdle and the Chester Cup.

The drying ground won’t be an inconvenience and Denis O’Regan is an eye-catching booking, as he is sure to play his hand late.

If you’d rather back something at bigger odds, assuming the ground is no worse than good, Dan Skelton’s mare Stephanie Frances is capable of going well. Impressive at Cheltenham when last seen in April, she looks ready for a step up in class.

On the domestic front RACING HISTORY (2:05) is fancied to defy an 8lb rise at Goodwood, following his impressive recent Chester success.

The Great Voltigeur entry had earlier shed his maiden tag on easy ground at Haydock and won despite things not exactly going to plan last time. He looks a potential pattern class performer and he can strike under James Doyle.

Thursday’s selections:
2:05 Goodwood – Racing History; 9/2 Paddy Power
4:45 Galway – Quick Jack; 11/1 Skybet
