Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Lough Kent in the Warwick 14:40. Compare odds and bet.
A winner over fences in France Lough Kent (2:40) makes his British chasing debut at Warwick on Wednesday and is fancied to strike for Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville.
The six-year-old book-ended last season with placed efforts in decent handicap hurdles, latterly at Cheltenham and back in November he chased home stable-mate Theinval, who went on to win twice in the spring, latterly at Aintree’s Grand National meeting off 25lbs higher.
In contrast, today’s selection has dropped 5lbs since that effort and he remains on a mark from which he can win. After just three starts over fences, he could well improve for switching to handicap chases. Lough Kent opened up 2-1 with Coral on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday’s selection:
2:40 Warwick: Lough Kent; 2/1 Coral
