Live on Sky Sports 1: Sun 13.30: Chelsea are 16/5 (Winner) to land the Premier League title by beating Palace after a drawn first half.
Jose Mourinho rightly defended his Chelsea charges over the accusation that they’re boring and on the same page as the outspoken boss, the Blues supporters certainly won’t think there’s anything dreary about the fact that their team are 13 points clear at the Premier League summit and about to wrap up the title.
Indeed, the only thing monotonous about the Stamford Bridge outfit is the regularity with which they have racked up victories (24 in 34 games) and they know that just one more, against Crystal Palace, will see them crowned champions.
Inevitably, the league leaders are emphatic favourites, Stan James rating them at just 4/11 to get the job done while Palace are 19/2 with BetVictor to be party poopers and it’s 17/4 courtesy of bet365 for the spoils to be shared.
The Eagles have been pretty resilient under Alan Pardew but they’ve suffered back-to-back home defeats against West Brom and Hull and that form means Chelsea simply can’t be opposed. The visitors failed to score in both of those defeats so Skybet’s 11/10 about a home win ‘to nil’ isn’t without appeal and more precisely, a 2-0 success for Mourinho’s charges is 11/2 at Ladbrokes.
The Blues however, have made heavy weather of a few matches of late and they may have to be patient in this one. Subsequently, Winner.com’s 16/5 for them to triumph following a level first period is the game’s value bet.
