Chelsea have been cut to 5/6 by Paddy Power for the Premier League despite losing 1-0 to Manchester City at the weekend. Manchester United could only grab a single point away at Bolton, widening the gap as they drifted to 11/4 (Skybet).
Manchester City have been trimmed back in to 8/1 with Totesport for the title after they stopped the Chelsea juggernaut from even scoring and took 3 points off them in the process. One victory doesn’t win you the title but when it comes against a team who had won 5 in a row, scoring 21 in the process, there has to be credit where credit is due.
Tottenham’s loss to West Ham means they are out to 10/3 (bet365) to make the top 4 while Liverpool’s home draw with Sunderland leaves them at 7/2 (Ladbrokes) for a Champions League spot. Gerard Houllier is a 12/1 shot (Stan James) to inspire Aston Villa to push on to greater things and finish in the top 4.
