Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Thursday; Masterplan in the Catterick 13:10. Compare odds and bet.
Catterick’s 2m3f novices’ hurdle looks a competitive affair, but Masterplan (1:10) was tipped up here when Uttoxeter was abandoned on New Year’s Eve and I’m prepared to stick with Charlie Longsdon’s runner, despite this race looking stronger.
The winning Irish pointer won a Worcester bumper on his rules debut before finishing seventh in the Listed contest at Cheltenham’s Open meeting. He went on to finish fifth on his hurdles debut at Sandown in what has turned out to be a warm event (front three have all won since) and, with the prospect of more to come, he can get off the mark under Noel Fehily.
If the tissue prices are to be believed, the selection may be available at an each-way price on first show this morning.
Wednesday’s selection:
1:10 Catterick: Masterplan; 11/2 Sportingbet
