Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Saturday; Jolly’s Cracked It in the Sandown 14:25. Compare odds and bet.
Though Nicky Henderson’s exciting French recruit L’Ami Serge is respected, he is taken on at the prices in today’s Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle with the Harry Fry-trained Jolly’s Cracked It (2:25) who, I believe, has a much better chance of completing the hat-trick than the market would suggest.
The six-year-old has impressed with the way he has travelled through his two races so far this season. But for penultimate flight errors, he’d have run out an easy winner on each occasion and I was hugely surprised at the disparity in prices last night.
The market leader was trading as short as 4/9 in places, whereas the selection was available at 9/2 with Stan James. I was personally expecting him to be more around the 5/2 or 9/4 mark.
Saturday’s selection:
2:25 Sandown: Jolly’s Cracked It; 9/2 Stan James
