Though he was beaten 4 lengths by Kings Palace here 27 days ago, there is a chance Sausalito Sunrise (12:30) could reverse form this afternoon and, certainly at the prices, he is worth chancing.
Philip Hobbs’ six-year-old was impressive when scoring on debut over fences and stayed on in tenacious fashion here last month, when trying to concede 5lbs to David Pipe’s son of King’s Theatre.
The selection re-opposes on 8lb better terms this afternoon and will appreciate the extra furlong. Despite his form suggesting otherwise, I also believe he will improve for the better ground (could also be the case of Kings Palace) and there is too much of a disparity between their respective prices. The selection was available at 3-1 with Coral overnight.
