The 32Red Novices’ Chase at Uttoxeter on Tuesday sees the return of the former smart novice hurdler Cloudy Copper but preference is for Grand Vision (12:50) who was running a huge race when coming down at Haydock 18 days ago.
Up until the fourth last, when he landed too steeply, the grey had jumped really well and had eventual winner Virak nudging away in second. If he’d have stayed upright, he must have gone close and a similar level of performance should see him difficult to beat this afternoon.
