Murray Out To 6/1 For Aussie Open

TENNIS BETTING: Andy Murray is friendless in the betting to win the forthcoming Australian Open according to Ladbrokes who have pushed the British Number One out to 6/1 from 4s

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: “The patriotic punt on the British ace has failed to materialise.

“As things stand, we could be in the unusual position of cheering him on as he takes to the court.”

Last year’s runner up and current world number one Roger Federer is totesport’s 3/1 favourite to win the first Grand Slam tournament of the year which gets underway on Monday with reigning champion Rafael Nadal 7/2 at Betdaq. Meanwhile, US Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro looks to have a decent each way chance at 5/1 with Bet365.

Current Ladies Champion Serena Williams is 888Sport‘s 3/1 favourite to retain her title with the rejuvenated Kim Clijsters 7/2 with Stan James.
