FORMULA ONE BETTING: Jenson Button has warned his Formula One rivals that he aims to prove last year’s drivers’ championship success was not a one-off and he’s 9/1 at Betfred to retain the title.
The 30-year-old secured his first world title and also helped guide Brawn GP to the constructors’crown in 2009.
Button will go into the new season alongside 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton (12/5 with Betfred) in an all-English line-up at his new team McLaren with several F1 followers and former drivers doubting he can win back-to-back titles.
However Button says he is looking forward to the challenge and is looking to prove his critics wrong.
“I have never been so hungry as I am this year,” he told BBC Sport.
“It’s a real challenge coming to a new team and working alongside Lewis.”
