HORSE RACING: On the back of sustained support Stan James have cut Cooldine ahead of Sunday’s Irish Hennessy 2/1 to 7/4 for the Leopardstown showpiece.
The Gibraltar based bookie have also cut the Willie Mullins trained horse for the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup from 20s into 14s and 4s into 7/2 in the market without Kauto Star and Denman.
Head of PR Charlie McCann told betrescue.com :” If money talks we are going to see a much different animal at Leopardstown on Sunday to the one that was pulled up in the Lexus over Xmas.
When the spring does eventually arrive we are likely to see a better horse again on faster ground, but Cooldine has been well supported ahead of this weekend’s Grade 1 and perhaps a realistic threat to the Gold Cup aspirations of Team Nicholls will, belatedly, emerge on Sunday.”
