GOLF BETTING: Following news that Tiger Woods will return to the circuit at the US Masters in April, Sportingbet quote the world number one at a best 9/2 to win the first Major of 2010 at Augusta.
In the early betting, Phil Mickelson has been eased to 7/1 by Stan James, Padraig Harrington comes next in the betting at 16/1 with William Hill and its 20/1 bar the rest.
Skybet make Woods 9/1 for Woods to be leading the Masters after the first round and 14/1 he leads from start to finish (including ties).
Sky Bet’s golf betting expert John Rhodes told betrescue.com: “With Woods being out of golf since last November, it remains to be seen whether he can shake off the rust in time to capture another Green Jacket.
“The heat and spotlight will definitely be on Woods for the week and it will be very interesting to see if he can overcome all the obstacles to get himself within a chance of landing the 1st Major of 2010.”
