Spurs host Fulham in tonight’s FA Cup Quarter Final replay whilst there are four crucial Premier League matches. Chris Hutcheon previews.
Given their away record, Fulham probably missed their big chance to see off Tottenham in the pair’s FA Cup quarter final tie, when the sides played out a forgettable goalless draw at Craven Cottage. Subsequently, as they renew hostilities at White Hart Lane, it’s difficult to envisage anything other than a comfortable Spurs success.
Victor Chandler make Harry Redknapp’s men 8/13 to book a semi-final date with his former club Portsmouth in normal time but the value is in the handicaps where the hosts are 7/4 (888Sport) to prevail by at least two clear goals.
In the Premiership, Chelsea can get back to winning ways following the disappointing draw at Blackburn; they’re 3/10 with Paddy Power to return from Portsmouth three points better off and 5/1 (Totesport) to notch twice without reply.
At Eastlands Manchester City may have to settle for a point in the battle for fourth place as they host a solid Everton side priced by Ladbrokes at 5/2 to emerge with a draw but stuttering Aston Villa might fail to capitalise as the stalemate (14/5, Betfred) looks the best bet in their home clash against improving Sunderland.
Having held Chelsea at the weekend meanwhile, Blackburn are an eye-catching 21/20 with Betdaq to get the better of Birmingham at Ewood Park.
