Angus Loughran previews this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational and likes the each way chances of Nick Watney and Graeme McDowell at Bay Hill.
Bay Hill took a real soaking on Sunday afternoon and had that rain come this Sunday there would be no final round but conditions in Orlando have improved and 2010 Arnold Palmer Invitational is eagerly anticipated despite the absense of World Number 1 Tiger Woods who has now confirmed his comeback for next month’s Masters at Augusta.
Phil Mickleson (12/1 Ladbrokes)and Steve Stricker (16/1 Victor Chandler) head the betting this weekend and both should play well but I like the chances of Nick Watney who played some excellent stuff in being placed at last week’s Transitions Championship in Tampa and looks good value at 25/1 (bet365) while Ulsterman Graeme McDowell is a huge price at 55/1 with Coral and should be much shorter. He is playing really well and has great form at Bay Hill with most bookies offering 1/4 places 1,2,3,4,5 these two players look worth backing each way and if either player is placed you are in profit for week.
