RUGBY LEAGUE BETTING: Warrington Wolves are 6/1 with Paddy Power to win the Challenge Cup and they begin their defence at home to Featherstone this weekend.
Warrington will have no problems here and should win even with a handicap of -32, at 10/11, quoted by Ladbrokes.
St Helens are trophy favs, 888sport make them up as 7/2 chances. This reflects the fact that St Helens were triple Challenge Cup winners until Warrington spoiled the run last year.
Close behind are Leeds at 4/1 with Blue Square. Leeds must travel to Hull in Saturday’s televised game (BBC1, 14:15) in which Leeds are installed as favourites at 4/9 (Betfred), despite being away to a team with a superior league position. Senior (Leeds) looks a good bet to score a try at anytime at 6/4 with SkyBet.
In the other televised game (Sunday, BBC2, 14:15), Huddersfield entertain Hull KR. Betdaq place 12/1 on Huddersfield to win the Cup and at 2/5 with Bet365, should progress with relative ease in this match. Boylesports have handicapped Hull KR with +8 points, and at 10/11 will still have work to do to avoid defeat.
Wigan, who are heavy favourites for the Super League regular season, are priced up at 4th fav, 13/2 (Betfred). Wigan were semi finalists last year but have failed to reach the final since 2004 and have not won the Challenge Cup since 2002.
Wigan embark on their 2010 Cup adventure with a trip to Sheffield Eagles, who are currently struggling to ignite in the Championship. Bet365 have a handicap of -38 on Wigan at 10/11, which should be no problem what so ever for The Warriors.
In other games;
St Helens (3rd in Super League) take on Toulouse (6th in Championship) in what should be a heavy scoring win for The Saints. Ladbrokes handicap St Helens to the tune of -50 points, at 10/11.
Hunslet and Oldham, both performing well in Championship 1, meet to ensure at least one Championship 1 representative in the 5th round. Oldham are 11/5 with Bet365 to win away.
Siddal of the Conference Premier take on Batley of the Championship, 2 divisions higher, and will be keen to exert as much pressure from the start as possible. Siddal have the advantage of 24 games (17 wins) behind them, where as Batley have hardly set their division alight, losing 4 of 6. The odds are stacked against Siddal though, Ladbrokes have them at 10/1 to prosper.
