FORMULA ONE BETTING: Jenson Button claimed victory in Shanghai for McClaren to sit atop of the Driver’s Championships and can be backed at 6/1 with Paddy Power for the title.
Lewis Hamilton came in 1 second behind Button to take second, which moves him to 49 points in the Championship, a single point behind Rosberg in 2nd. Hamilton is 10/3 with Bet365 for the campaign.
Vettel remains 9/4 fav (888sport), the bookies deem the Red Bull car to be simply too quick, despite being 15 points behind Button. The China GP was played out in rain and Button’s early change to slick tyres once again showed that McClaren have perhaps the intelligent edge, if not the technical. Alonso follows Vettel at 3/1 with Totesport.
Red Bull are still fav for the Constructor’s Championship, 7/4 with Blue Square. The Chinese ‘one-two’ for McClaren has seen them go top of the table, 19 points ahead of Ferrari and 36 points ahead of Red Bull. McClaren are 15/8 with Bet365 to stay where they are come the season end.
Next stop is the Spanish GP where Alonso will most probably be installed as favourite and Jenson Button will look to emulate last year’s win.
