Last week’s race was the Bet365 Gold Cup Chase at Sandown, won by 20/1 shot Church Island, ridden by AP Heskin. Hoo La Baloo was second at 14/1 and Lacdoudal third at 12/1.
No-one managed to select all 3 horses last time but a few of you managed to pick Hoo La Baloo and Lacdoudal, awarding 26 points all together. Susan Halliday top scored this week with 32 points after selecting Church Island and Lacdoudal, unfortunately not in the correct places. None of the top 3 points leaders for April (not overall leaders) picked up a single point which allowed Anne Cairns to sneak into 2nd place with her selection of Hoo La Baloo.
Michael Collins was top of the monthly leaderboard for April on 70.5 pts, with Anne Cairns jumping into 2nd on 68 points and Richard Halliday in third on 66.5 pts. They win a £25 free bet, a £15 free bet and a £10 free bet respectively with 888sport.
In the overall standings, only Andrew Steele of the top 3 prior to the weekend managed to pick up any points but James Roddie remains 1st with 222.3 points. Andrew Steele leapfrogs Mary McIlroy into 2nd with 208.89 points. Mary McIlroy drops to 3rd with 196.64.

This Week’s Race – Saturday 1st May 2010 The 2010 contest continues this weekend with the first week of the May competition. This week’s race is The 2000 Guineas, the first English Classic of the year, which takes place at Newmarket on Saturday 1st May at 15.05 pm.
