RUGBY LEAGUE BETTING: SkySports 4: Sat 13.00 to 21.00 & Sun 13.30 to 20.00: Wigan will want to amend for last week’s shock loss to Harlequins, Huddersfield are next up on ‘Magic Weekend’.
This weekend, Super League goes to Murrayfield where all the games will be played in front of the cameras in Scotland.
Wigan were left reeling last weekend after letting a half time lead of 24-6 slip against struggling Harlequins. Wigan face Huddersfield and Betfred make Wigan 8/13 to triumph, The Giants are 6/4 with Betdaq. This is a good opportunity for Wigan to make amends, Huddersfield’s league position is flattered by the fact they have prospered over teams in the bottom six of the league, while generally losing to teams in the top half. Wigan can be had at 10/11 with Bet365 with a -4 handicap, which is the bet of the weekend.
Leeds meet Wakefield, two teams sitting in 9th and 8th in the league respectively. Betfred make Leeds a very short 1/8, whilst Wakefield are 7/1 with Bet365. Leeds are building up some steam now and perhaps Ladbrokes’ handicap bet of -16 points at 10/11 about Leeds is a good choice.
Betinternet offer 4/9 on Hull to beat second bottom Harlequins, Hull have been patchy at best. Quins did very well against Wigan and in their loss to St Helens and perhaps the neutral territory of Murrayfield will play into their hands. They have scored 60 of their 160 season points in the last 2 games and Betdaq’s 11/5 about them is tempting.
Elsewhere, Skybet offer 8/11 on Castleford against bottom placed Catalans. This is a great opportunity for Castleford to put two wins on the bounce and the 8/11 about them seems very generous. Bradford are heavy favs against Crusaders (1/4 with Betfred), similarly St Helens are 1/8 with Ladbrokes to beat Hull KR and Warrington are 1/16 to beat Salford.
Wigan still lead the betting in the Regular Season market, Sportingbet make them 2/1, closely followed by St Helens at 9/4 (Paddy Power). Leeds Rhinos can be backed at 10/3 with Betfred to win the Grand Final but will have to think about getting some wins together soon to progress up the table.
