FOOTBALL BETTING: SkySports 2: 19.30: Blackpool travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the Championship Playoff Semi’s, 2nd leg, and will try to defend a 2-1 lead.
It’s advantage Blackpool following the Championship play-off semi-final first leg, the Seasiders having beaten Nottingham Forest 2-1 on home soil, however bookies are struggling to decide how that result impacts on the tie and subsequently, ahead of the second leg there is some indecision as to who will reach Wembley.
Forest for example, are underdogs at even money with Ladbrokes, following Saturday’s reverse but at Stan James, it’s Ian Holloway’s men that are deemed outsiders at evens and it’s this price that catches the eye as the pair prepare to renew hostilities at the City Ground.
Blackpool recovered from a poor start at Bloomfield Road to dominate the second half in a surprisingly open affair and their showing bodes well for the second clash. With a lead in the bag however, Holloway’s charges are likely to try and tighten things up and they can suffocate the hosts to book their place in the final, despite the fact that Billy Davies’ side are 4/5 favourites to win the match itself.
Victor Chandler’s 11/4 marked against the draw therefore appeals, alongside William Hill’s 6/1 for it to finish one-each, as the Seasiders can score on the break as Forest push forward. Blackpool’s talismanic skipper Charlie Adam meanwhile, slotted from the spot to give his side the victory in the first leg and the Scot can again make an impact. He’s 3/1 to notch at any stage in the 90 minutes.
