There will be no Old Firm representative in the Scottish Cup final for only the second time in thirteen years but that will be of no concern to Dundee United and Division One outfit Ross County, who lock horns at Hampden Park. The Terrors last won the Scottish Cup 1994 and they’re Betdaq’s 8/15 favourites to snap that sequence in normal time while Ross County are 6/1 with Victor Chandler to end their first Hampden Park final in glorious fashion and the draw is chalked up at 10/3 by Totesport.
Punters fancying the latter can back the clash at 15/2 (888Sport) to be one-each after 90 minutes and Paddy Power post 12/1 and 13/1 respectively, against Dundee United and the Staggies prevailing from the spot in a dramatic penalty shootout. However, it’s United, who finished third in the SPL, that should come out on top and they’re 11/4 courtesy of Ladbrokes to nick it in normal time by a one-goal margin.
In what could be an open encounter that produces three or more goals (9/10, Jaxx.com), Peter Houston’s side are 7/1 with William Hill to finish on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline and the potential for a relatively high-scoring affair also lends appeal to Betfred’s 10/11 for the opener to arrive before the 27th minute.
Elsewhere, Stan James offer even money for both teams to get on the scoresheet and Partybets make United 3/10 to be the first team to do so. That opener meanwhile, is 4/1 (bet365) to be struck by Terrors marksman Jon Daly and at the other end Staggies supporters can back Andrew Barrowman at 10/1 with Stan James to break the deadlock.
