More pain for Spain a 2/1 shot

Live on ITV: Mon 17.00: Australia are 2/1 at bet365 to win or draw against sorry Spain in World Cup Group B.

The qualifiers from Group B have already been decided so Australia’s clash with outgoing champions Spain is a dead rubber.

Subsequently, the Socceroos look massively overpriced at 15/2 with bet365 to overhaul the sorry Spanish, whose performances so far certainly don’t warrant a quote of 2/5 at Stan James.

Indeed, Skybet’s 4/6 for the Aussies to win when handed a two goal start almost falls into the ‘banker’ category, while Coral’s 22/1, chalked against a 2-1 Australia victory is worthy of modest support given how well they’ve played in their two previous matches.

The one worry is the absence of the talismanic Tim Cahill but the way the Socceroos have gone about theuir business so far suggests they can nevertheless avoid defeat (2/1, bet365) against a beleaguered Spain side already wishing they were on the plane home.
