Football Betting: In-form Shrewsbury can make it three wins out of three this weekend in League Two while Gillingham, Burton Albion, Port Vale and Barnet are all worth following
Early League Two leaders Torquay have kept two clean sheets in as many outings but they may struggle to hold on to that record this weekend as Bradford arrive at Plainmoor and subsequently the Gulls look a touch risky at 11/10 with Stan James to retain their hundred percent record. At the same price however, this time thanks to Betdaq, second-placed Shrewsbury can clinch the three points as they host Aldershot.
At the Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham look set to register their first win of the campaign against rock-bottom Lincoln; Andy Hessenthaler’s men a tasty 4/5 (Totesport) to come out on top and 7/4 with Paddy Power to prevail without conceding.
Burton Albion have drawn their two opening matches but quoted at 5/4 by Wiliam Hill they look decent value to get the better of Morecambe, who have yet to manage a league goal.
Finally, where potential away wins are concerned, Victor Chandler’s 7/4 for Micky Adams’ Port Vale to edge out Southend looks a little high while Ladbrokes’ 7/2 for Barnet to overcome winless Crewe at Gresty Road is hard to resist but if that feels a touch risky, Betfred hand the Bees a goal start in the handicaps at a tempting 10/11.
Recommended Bets:
Gillingham to win to nil against Lincoln – 7/4 (Paddy Power)
Double Burton/Shrewsbury – 7/2 (Victor Chandler)
Barnet to avoid defeat at Crewe – 10/11 (Betfred)
