F1 Betting: Hamilton’s victory at the Belgian GP took him top of the Drivers Championship again, a mere 3 points ahead of Mark Webber as the F1 season stays neck and neck with 6 races to go.
Lewis Hamilton’s excellent win on a rain soaked Spa put him back on top of the World Championship leaderboard, a mere 3 points ahead of Mark Webber.
Both men are 7/4 with Sportingbet to take the Driver’s title with just 6 races to go. Vettel, Button and Alonso did themselves no favours what so ever as all 3 failed to register a single point. Vettel is considered 9/2 3rd fav (Bet365), 31 points behind Hamilton; Alonso and Button are 10/1 (Ladbrokes) and 25/1 (William Hill) respectively, despite Alonso lying 5th in the table, behind Button.
Beyond the Top 5, Massa leads the chasing pack but at 73 points adrift of Hamilton, and plenty of drivers who can fill the podium positions, it’s hard to even justify the 150/1 price Blue Square give him.
In the Constructors Championship, things could barely be closer as Red Bull lead by a solitary point. Ferrari seem to have drifted out of it completely leaving Red Bull 8/13 favs with Stan James and McClaren 9/5 at William Hill. Vettel and Webber are consistently challenging for the podium while Button is starting to struggle for serious points, which is in turn affecting McClaren’s charge for the Constructors Championship.
