Like many I was shocked that Colin Montgomorie did not pick Paul Casey as one of his wildcards for The European Ryder Cup Team. One thing it does though is give Monty a ready made pairing in the Molinari brothers who will be hard to beat in all their matches at Celtic Manor.
Oliver Wilson, who played in last Ryder Cup, is incredibly still without a victory on European Tour but looks a big price in this weeks European Masters at 40/1 each way (Sportingbet), while Charl Schwartzel of South Africa also appeals at 16/1 with Bet365.
The Race for the Fedex Cup continues this week with the Deutsche Bank Championship starting Friday and Tiger Woods must be backed here at 8/1 with William Hill while Steve Stricker, who gave us a place finish last week, should go well in defence of his title. Dustin Johnson, so unlucky in the USPGA, looks a winner waiting to happen and is also worth including in your bets this week at 18/1 with Betfred.
