Golf Betting: Live On Sky Sports 3: Thu 10:30 & 20.00 This week’s golfing action comes from the BMW Championship in Lemont and The KLM Open in Hilversum. Angus Loughran previews.
Martin Kaymer, the PGA Champion, is a worthy market leader at 12/1 (Skybet) for this weeks KLM Open and will take all the beating while South African Charl Schwartzel also has to be on your shortlist this week at 18/1 (Paddy Power).
Teenager Mateo Manassero is a player who is going to earn us plenty over next few years and his performace in the European Masters last week should be enough to get him his card for next season; I think at 40/1 with William Hill he looks a fabulous each way bet this week and at 10/11 to beat Noh with Stan James and Victor Chandler, he looks great punt. David Horsey is an underated player in my opinion and at 100/1 (Ladbrokes) is worth an each way bet this week.
Tiger Woods got his Wilcard for The Ryder Cup but is running out of time to win on the PGA Tour in 2010. He has won every year since turning pro in 1996 and is worth backing at 13/2 with Totesport this week in the BMW Championship in Lemont. Jason Day, at 33/1 with Coral, looks the each way pick here in an event with many sub plots as players look to get into top 30 of Fedex Cup Standings and a place in Tour Championship in Atlanta, the mega money showdown, later this month.
