Rangers’ Run To Come To An End?

Football Betting: There is a full programme of Championship fixtures on Tuesday night and in-form QPR will have to work extra hard to get something away at Ipswich.

QPR’s 3-0 victory against Middlesbrough kept them on top of the Championship on Saturday but they have their work cut out to make it five wins out of six as they head to third-placed Ipswich. Indeed, Neil Warnock’s charges head to Portman Road as Victor Chandler’s 21/10 outsiders while the hosts are slender favourites at 7/5 with Totesport.

Both teams remain unbeaten, a factor that will lead some punters towards the draw at 23/10 (Betdaq) but aided by home advantage, Roy Keane’s men could just shade this one. They didn’t perform particularly well at Portsmouth admittedly but Keane will have given his players a dressing down after that one and they’ll be desperate to impress in the biggest game of the campaign so far.

Add to this the fact that Rangers were lucky to emerge with a point in their last away match and the edge looks to be with the hosts. Nevertheless, it’s not unreasonable to want to insure against a stalemate and Ipswich could therefore be worth considering at 8/11 in bet365’s ‘Draw No Bet’ market.

Darren Ferguson’s Preston capitulated in the derby clash at Burnley, conceding three times in the last six minutes but they can pick themselves up at Deepdale as they entertain Nottingham Forest. Yet to pick up a win having drawn four of their five games, the visitors aren’t in the best shape and with tension building behind the scenes, things could be about to get a little bit worse for Billy Davies. Punters can cash-in by backing North End at an outstanding 15/8 with Victor Chandler.

Elsewhere, Sheffield United are a tempting 8/11 with William Hill to overcome managerless Scunthorpe, Hull (23/20, Betfred) remain terrible on the road but back at the KC Stadium they can overcome Derby and at 11/8 with 888Sport Middlesbrough can bounce back from their reverse at QPR by beating a Burnley side who were fortunate to come out on top against Preston.

Cardiff meanwhile, are slender 6/4 favourites in places to nick the points at Leicester but potential Bluebirds backers can obtain odds of 15/8 with Victor Chandler.

Recommended Bets:
Preston to beat Nottingham Forest – 15/8 (Victor Chandler)
Ipswich to beat QPR ‘Draw No Bet’ – 8/11 (bet365)
Sheffield United and Hull City double – 13/5 (William Hill)
