Tennis Betting: Live on Skysports 4: Fri 14.00: Davis Cup semi-final action starting Friday; France v Argentina and Serbia v Czech Republic, featuring some of the world’s best. Compare Davis Cup odds.
The Davis Cup reaches it’s penultimate stage this weekend as France, Argentina, Serbia and Czech Republic battle it out for a place in December’s finals.
France (7/4 888sport, outright) face Argentina (4/1 Betfred, outright) in the first semi and 9-time champions France are the obvious 4/9 favs with Eurosportbet for this match. However, the absence of Tsonga for the French and the return of the excellent Davis Cup player David Nalbandian for the Argentinians, this contest could be a lot closer than the odds suggest.
In the other semi, competition favs Serbia (6/4 Paddy Power, outright) take on the Czech Republic, the outsiders (8/1 Coral, outright). Serbia are heavy favs at 2/9 with Eurosportbet but the Czechs wont be such a roll over. Novak Djokovic must rest up for Serbia after his delayed US Open final while Stepanek and Berdych are well rested for the Czech team. The Serbs should win through to face France but be wary of spirited fights by both of the underdogs.
