Be Careful Of A Celtic Slip

Football Betting: Live on ESPN & Skysports 4: Sat 12.00 & Sun 12.45: Inverness and Hearts line up in front of the cameras on Saturday and Celtic have a tricky trip to Kilmarnock on the Sunday.

Celtic top the SPL table following their 3-0 win over Hearts last weekend, but they face a tricky away game at Kilmarnock in Sunday’s live TV game, even though they start as 888sport’s 4/9 favourites; Killie are Betdaq’s 7/1 choice to secure three points.

The Bhoys are up against a side that went down narrowly at Ibrox on the opening day and which has since recovered to win their last two league matches. Killie have also averaged two goals a game and are 19/10 (Jaxx.com) to score first, a feat they’ve managed in their last three matches.

Rangers performed well in midweek at Old Trafford, although it’s noticeable that they have won three of their four games by just a single goal so far, a record which makes them look decent value at 14/5 (Partybets) to win by the same margin at home to Dundee United. Rangers, Totesport’s 4/9 favourites, have lost just once to United (15/2, Paddy Power) in their last 14 clashes, but the draw, priced at 7/2 with Stan James, should not be discounted as the pair finished level in five of them.

Despite Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Dundee United, Aberdeen (9/4, 888sport) remain third in the SPL and can get back on the winning trail away at Motherwell (6/5, bet365). Recent history is on Mark McGhee’s side, as his men have enjoyed a narrow advantage over ‘Well in head-to-heads over the past two seasons.

Inverness could be in third place before 3pm on Saturday should they win their lunchtime clash at home to Hearts in front of the cameras, although there has been steady support for the draw, offered at 12/5 by Ladbrokes. Caley (8/5, Betdaq) bounced back to earn a 1-1 draw at Hibernian last weekend and will be looking to build on that against a team that has conceded four goals in their last two games.

Hibernian are 4/5 with Ladbrokes to register their first home win against Hamilton (7/2, Betfred). The Accies have conceded seven in their last two visits to Easter Road and William Hill quote 11/4 about the fixture yielding four goals or more.

St Johnstone (11/10, bet365) host St Mirren (11/4, Victor Chandler) in a match which features two of the bottom four teams. The home side are 21/20 (William Hill) to net in the first half – something they have done in each of the three matches they have scored in this season.
