The Listed four-year-old bumper at Limerick on Sunday has been won by some smart sorts down the years and Off The Mark (5:35) certainly looked a smart prospect himself, when scoring on debut a month ago.
Christy Roche’s son of High Chaparral moved nicely throughout, before keeping on well in the closing stages to fend off Never Never, with Aminabad back him fourth – he re-opposes here on much better terms, but the JP McManus owned runner is taken to progress again and confirm the form.
There are several interesting newcomers among this field, so the race should be worth watching closely with the future in mind.
