It’s fairly ordinary stuff on Tuesday, including in the extended 2m7f novices’ chase at Leicester, where recent Fakenham scorer Destroyer Deployed is sure to be sent off at prohibitive odds.
Tim Vaughan’s former Champion Bumper second did it nicely on debut and is probably a class apart here, but he hasn’t always been the most consistent and, with the dead eight going to post, it is worth looking for an each-way alternative.
Jamie Snowden’s useful mare Miss Milbourne is next best in the market, but needs to step forward from her Newbury debut third behind Baby Shine, so the vote goes to maiden Keltic Rhythm (3:40) in the hope that fences spark a revival in form.
Out of sorts of late, it is less than a year ago that he was finishing behind West Wizard and The Skyfarmer at Kempton and his bumper seconds behind Joanne One and Knock House also read well.
Runner-up on his first two outings over timber and on all four outings between the flags in Ireland, the son of Milan has a bit to find on the ratings, but his yard is in form and he is worth a chance in an uncompetitive contest.
