Live on Sky Sports 1: Sat & Sun 12.45: A 9/2 treble (BetVictor) and an easy Celtic win are two of our three Scottish Premiership picks this week.
It’s back to top-flight league action in Scotland this weekend, with the early kick-off seeing Aberdeen head to St Mirren. The Dons picked up a brilliant win at Celtic Park last week as they booked their place in the last eight of the Scottish Cup, and they will feel good about their chances of getting three points at St Mirren Park.
An away win is priced at 13/20 by Betway while the draw is 5/2 with Bet365. St Mirren will have to turn the form book upside down to get a win in this one, although their fans might like the 4/1 available with Stan James on them doing so.
Motherwell will look to jump into second place should Aberdeen slip up, with the Well at home against second-from-bottom Partick. The hosts will be favourites in this one, with BetVictor pricing a home victory at 5/6, and William Hill is offering 9/5 on Motherwell being ahead at the ends of both halves. The Jags are 3/1 with Bet365 to pick up a surprise win while the stalemate is on offer at 5/2 with Stan James.
Fourth-placed Inverness welcome Hearts, who have won their last two league games and are now firmly in positive points territory. The home side will still expect to win this match (2/5 with Ladbrokes) but the confidence flowing through the visitors means the 13/2 with BetVictor on an away victory might prove tempting. Bet365 is offering 15/4 on it ending all square.
Dundee United have now gone seven games without a win as the wheels look to be coming off their league campaign spectacularly. They will be hoping for a change of fortune against a Kilmarnock side that they have already beaten three times this season.
United are 10-3 ahead in terms of goals over those three games, and Stan James is offering 4/6 on an overdue home victory in this meeting. Killie have won only once in five league outings themselves, but they are 4/1 with Skybet to compound their hosts’ misery with an away victory. The draw is 14/5 with BetVictor while a goal apiece is 6/1 with Bet365.
Hibs take on Ross County with home manager Terry Butcher stating that he wants his team to break into the top six by the end of the season. The home side are 19/20 with Paddy Power to help achieve that aim with a win, but the Staggies are only six points behind the Edinburgh outfit and will be looking to close that gap. The visitors are 12/5 with BetVictor to head home with a point and 3/1 with Stan James to get all three.
Celtic host St Johnstone on Sunday as the leaders look to put last week’s shock cup exit to bed straight away. The hosts remain formidable in the league, having won 13 in a row and not conceding in the last 11 of those. They are 2/9 with Bet365 to make it 15 wins on the bounce while Winner.com is offering odds of 7/1 on a 3-0 scoreline.
The Saints are 11/1 with Stan James to get a surprise victory while honours-even is priced at 5/1 by BetVictor. In the other markets, Celtic are 4/6 with Bet365 to be in the lead at both half-time and full-time.
