Motherwell will look to improve their chances of securing second spot in the Scottish Premiership when they travel to bottom club Hearts on Saturday. The visitors will start as firm favourites – 9/20 with BetVictor – and they would settle for a repeat of the 2-1 win they secured at Fir Park in October (8/1, Ladbrokes).
Hearts are still trying to wipe out their points deduction but a win here would do the trick for them. They are 5/1 with Ladbrokes to spring an upset and move into positive territory while the stalemate is available at 10/3 with Bet365.
St Johnstone, who host St Mirren at McDiarmid Park, have slipped into the bottom half of the table following just one win in seven. A reverse here could see them drawn ever closer to the teams beneath them but they will see this as a winnable game. Betway is pricing a home victory at 4/5. St Mirren are 10/3 with Stan James to head back to Paisley with maximum points while the draw is 13/5 with BetVictor.
Partick and Ross should be safe this season thanks to Hearts’ woes, but in any other campaign they would be too close to the bottom for comfort. The Jags will hope to make home advantage count when the pair meet at Firhill and are evens with Winner.com to do so.
They have already beaten County 3-1 this term and they are 17/1 with BetVictor to do so once again. Bet365 is offering 5/2 on the visitors winning, however, and the odds of it ending all square are 12/5 with Stan James.
Sunday’s game sees Dundee United head to Inverness. Both teams have gone off the boil recently, with each getting just one point from their past four outings. Caley Thistle are 6/4 with Bet365 to stop the rot and get back to winning way, United are 15/8 with Paddy Power to grab all three points but it’s the draw priced at 23/10 by Stan James that stands out alongside a 1-1 scoreline at 13/2 via BetVictor.
