Partick Thistle might feel that an FA Cup tie will give them some welcome respite from their dismal league form given that the Jags have lost four on the spin in the Premiership and five in six but Aberdeen can pile more misery on Alan Archibald’s men by dumping them out of the competition at the first attempt.
