Sat 15.00: Hartlepool and Scunthorpe look set to pick up home wins in League Two and they come in at 7/2 (BetVictor) in a double.
Hartlepool suffered a disapppointing 1-0 defeat at struggling Bury in midweek but on their own patch Colin Cooper’s men have racked up four wins on the bounce to it’s difficult to comprehend why they’re as big as 11/8 at BetVictor to card a fifth straight home victory at the expense of off-colour Portsmouth.
Pompey head north on the back of five consecutive league and cup defeats, they’ve managed only one away victory all season and they come up against a team that has really turned things around in recent weeks. Consequently the hosts are great value at Victoria Park.
Some shaky form, including a cup defeat at home to non-league Grimsby, prompted Scunthorpe to sack boss Brian Laws but the Iron have surged back into the play-off places on the back of successive wins.
The second of those was a 4-0 thumping of promotion-chasing Rochdale at Spotland and that kind of form should make the too strong for struggling Torquay at Glanford Park.
The Gulls have lost six of their nine away fixtures this season and not showing any kind of form at present they should be backed at 10/11 (bet365) to be turned over again.
