Paul Ferguson has two selections from Sedgefield for us on Thursday; King Of The Wolds in the 2.30 and Classic Move at 4.00. Compare odds and bet.
Sedgefield stages a decent card on Thursday, with the novices’ limited handicap chase the most interesting event.
David Pipe’s Knight Pass has the ability to take this under top-weight, but he is far from consistent and a much more safer proposition is King Of The Wolds (2:30) who looks worthy of each-way support at an overnight 6/1.
The six-year-old son of Presenting won at the second time of asking over timber last term, before chasing home Get Back In Line in a decent contest at Catterick in February. Given his size and scope, he was always going to improve for tackling fences and should go well on debut.
Later on the card, it will be disappointing if Classic Move (4:00) fails to land the concluding bumper on his debut for Donald McCain and Tim Leslie.
The four-year-old finished third in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival in April for Don Cantillon and subsequently changed hands for €85,000.
There are several interesting newcomers in opposition this afternoon, but the selection has already shown a high level of form and should be tough to beat.
Thursday’s selections:
2:30 Sedgefield: King Of The Wolds; 13/2 bet365
4:00 Sedgefield: Classic Move; 10/11 bet365; bet365
