Crystal Palace are Ladbrokes’ 13/5 favourites to finish bottom of the Premier League after their play-off final success against Watford.
The contest was goalless after 90 minutes before Kevin Phillips struck a penalty in extra-time to send Ian Holloway’s men into the top flight but their stay is expected to be short, with Ladbrokes quoting them at 1/2 to go straight back down.
Optimistic Eagles supporters can back their side at 10,000/1 (Ladbrokes) to be crowned champions and it’s 14/1 for Palace to finish in the top half of the table.
Ladbrokes meanwhile, go 8/11 about Holloway seeing out the entire season as Eagles boss and losing play-off finalists Watford are 7/2 to secure promotion at the next attempt.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes told Betrescue: “The odds indicate Palace will have a job on their hands to avoid finishing bottom. Unless some money is spent this summer they will start the new season with the unwanted tag of relegation favourites.”
