An impressive winner for this column last Sunday Street Entertainer (4:00) is taken to follow up under a 6lb penalty at Musselburgh this afternoon.
David Pipe’s useful handicap hurdler looked well treated on his return to the level and duly scored with plenty in hand. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that he reappears quickly under a penalty.
Sir Mark Prescott’s Mutual Regard, who was beaten when selected here last week, remains a young stayer on the up and rates the obvious danger.
Another who has featured here of late is Auld Alliance (8:25) who was well and truly put in her place by Riposte at Newmarket last time, but that filly could be smart and Sir Michael Stoute’s nicely bred three-year-old is worth another chance with the visor fitted.
The Montjeu filly looked rather one-paced last time, but the stiff finish at Chepstow ought to be in her favour and she certainly has the ability to land a maiden such as this before stepping up in trip once handicapping.
