Sat 15.00: Port Vale (21/20, bet365) and Wycombe (13/5, BetVictor) combine at 6/1 in a League Two double.
Port Vale’s impressive goal difference means that they’ll effectively be promoted, albeit not mathematically if they collect all three points at home Northampton and at 21/20 with bet365 the Valiants look cracking value to get the job done.
Sceptics of course will point to the fact that the Cobblers are in sixth with promotion hopes of their own but their lofty position is largely down to their outstanding home record and they’ve managed a paltry four victories on the road all season. Add to that their eleven away defeats and they certainly look up against it at Vale Park.
Back-to-back defeats have severely hampered Barnet’s survival bid and with only a couple of matches remaining for the Bees to get out of the bottom two the timing of their dip in form couldn’t be worse.
This weekend sees Edgar Davids’s men host mid-table Wycombe and their greater need for the points means Barnet are Coral’s 6/5 favourites. However the Chairboys are ending the season pretty strongly despite having nothing to play for and they’ve also picked up a more than respectable nine successes on their travels this term so under no pressure at all, they’re a steal at 13/5 via BetVictor to overcome the nervous hosts.
