Sun 13.30: With a little help from Luis Suarez, Liverpool (4/11, bet365) can see off West Ham in the pair’s Premier League clash at Anfield.
The top four is probably beyond Liverpool now but a run of four wins in five Premier League outings means they’re still very much in the hunt for a top six berth and they underline their European credentials as they welcome West Ham to Anfield.
The Hammers are muddling along and have won two of their last three but they’ve also lost five of their last eight and six of seven if you only take into account away fixtures so they’re not exactly good travellers.
They’re also without last weekend’s two-goal hero Andy Carroll in this one as he can’t face his parent club so it’s right that they’re 9/1 outsiders at Coral.
Still, bet365’s 4/11 about a Reds triumph gives little away so it’s better to seek value elsewhere and given the Hammers’ lack of goals on the road – as well as Carroll’s absence – Paddy Power’s 7/5 for the hosts to prevail ‘to nil’ certainly appeals.
However, it’s in attack for Brendan Rodgers’ team that punters can profit. Luis Suarez hasn’t scored for a couple of games but both of those were away from home and in front of the Kop the Uruguayan has found the net in six of his team’s last seven in all competitions.
He also provided a huge threat at Aston Villa last week and was unlucky not to strike so he’s the first scorer pick here, at 3/1 with William Hill.
Recommended Bets:
Liverpool to win ‘to nil’ – 7/5 (Paddy Power)
Luis Suarez to score first – 3/1 (William Hill)
