Two Horses to follow on Friday

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Friday; Princely Player in the Chepstow 5.00 and League Of Nations in the Dundalk 7.45. Compare odds and bet.

The form of the stable is a slight concern for Princely Player (5:00) but a chance is taken on Philip Hobbs’ six-year-old, who ran well on this card last year and has been crying out for better ground.

Twice a winner over hurdles, he shaped well on his handicap debut behind a couple of Festival winners At Fishers Cross and Salubrious at Newbury on 1st December and he’s only been seen twice since.

The son of King’s Theatre shaped as though the run would bring him on last time, again at Newbury, and with the ground now in his favour he looks worth supporting each-way in a warm looking contest (opened up 8/1 last night).

Paul Nicholls saddles Whisky Yankee in the same event and he is worth noting with the future in mind as he looks a lovely long term prospect, though he might be a little inexperienced for a race of this nature.

Over at Dundalk Aidan O’Brien, who won two races at the track on Wednesday, ought to get on the scoreboard again with League Of Nations (7:45) in the 1m maiden.

Fourth to stable-mate Magician on his sole start at two, the son of Galileo holds plenty of big race entries, including the Dante and Irish Derby, and the form of that debut is working out with the second and third having won since.

Friday’s selections:
5:00 Chepstow: Princely Player (each-way); 8/1 bet365
7:45 Dundalk: League Of Nations; 6/5 bet365
