Sat 15.00: Rejuvenated Bolton at 13/10 (Coral) form an appealing 21/4 double with Bristol City in the Championship this weekend.
It’s been a long time coming but Bolton are finally starting to look the part, having picked up five wins in a seven-match unbeaten streak.
On the back of their impressive run, the Trotters now have genuine play-off hopes and they can do themselves a huge favour in that department this weekend by getting the better of sixth-placed Brighton.
Admittedly, the Seagulls are in decent shape themselves but they’re not exactly consistent on the road, where their last three results have been a victory at leaders Cardiff sandwiched between a defeat at struggling Sheffield Wednesday and a draw at rock bottom Bristol City.
Subsequently, Dougie Freedman’s charges, who boast an enviable home record, will fancy their chances and so do we, especially at odds of 13/10 via Coral.
Also set for a crucial victory are Bristol City even though the pair’s respectively league positions suggest that play-off chasing Middlesbrough should claim the points at Ashton Gate.
The Robins are relatively solid on their own patch and indeed only Blackburn in the bottom half of the Championship have managed more home victories than Sean O’Driscoll’s side. Couple this with Boro’s pretty desperate card on the road, where they’ve lost eleven (only Bristol City have suffered more away defeats) and the hosts are a pretty tempting proposition at 9/5 (Stan James).
