Live on Skysports 1: Mon 20.00: Everton are 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to take advantage of the confusing change in boss at Southampton in the Premier League.
To an outsiders, the goings-on at Southampton on Friday were mystifying to say the least as the Saints board decided to part company with boss Nigel Adkins and immediately replace him with Argentine Mauricio Pochettino.
The managerial change was greeted with astonishment in most quarters given that Adkins had steadied the ship at St Mary’s and in the last week had guided his team to a vital victory at Aston Villa before presiding over a plucky draw at European champions Chelsea.
That kind of form would’ve made them a great bet at 10/3 with Blue Square to get the better of Everton but it’s hard to know what the players will make of the switch and the lack of continuity could benefit the Toffees, who are 11/10 via Ladbrokes to capitalise.
It’s a clash that at 4/5 (bet365) looks set to produce three or more goals, despite Everton’s goalless draw last weekend and it would be no suprise in the circumstances if David Moyes’ side picked up a third consecutive 2-1 away success in the Premier League, an outcome BetVictor offer at 9/1.
