Manchester United have shortened slightly to 8/15 with BetVictor to win the Premier League title after they defeated Sunderland at the weekend.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s troops carded a 3-1 success at Old Trafford to regain their six-point lead at the top of the table after second-placed Manchester City had earlier won by the same scoreline at Newcastle.
That result means the champions are 9/4 via Ladbrokes to retain the trophy with Chelsea, who were in World Club Championship action, some way back in the betting at 16/1 (Coral).
A 1-0 victory over Swansea saw Tottenham move into fourth spot and Coral subsequently clipped the North London outfit to 6/5 to finish in the top four.
Betfred rate Everton at 5/1 in the wake of their draw at Stoke while Blue Square quote Liverpool at 9/1 now, following the disappointing home reverse to Aston Villa and West Brom have drifted to 50/1 at Ladbrokes on the back of a draw with West Ham.
Discussing the battle for the Champions League places, Coral’s Tim Reynolds told Betrescue, “Tottenham have now won four of their last five Premier League matches and with Spurs having a very winnable set of fixtures ahead of them, AVB will be very disappointed if his side fail go into 2013 still in fourth place,”
