Live on Skysports 1: Fri 19.45: Middlesbrough tempt at 9/5 (Boylesports) to beat patchy Birmingham in the pair’s Championship clash.
A defeat for high-flying Middlesbrough at Cardiff was understandable given the Bluebirds hundred percent home record but nobody was expecting Tony Mowbray’s troops to lose at home to Bristol City a week later and jittery Boro supporters could’ve been forgiven for thinking that the wheels were about to fall off their side’s promotion push.
In midweek however, Middlesbrough allayed those fears, brushing Huddersfield aside with a convincing 3-0 victory and at 9/5 via Boylesports they can underline that those consecutive reverses were just a blip by collecting another maximum haul, at Birmingham.
The inconsistent Blues are languishing in 19th, unable to string a meaningful run together and with St Andrews hardly a fortress – they’ve lost there to struggling pair Barnsley and Ipswich for starters – Lee Clark’s men are easy to oppose in this one.
Boro appeal then at 7/2 with Stan James to shade it by a one-goal margin while Betfred price the visitors at 10/1 to finish on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline.
