Sat 15.00: Coventry, at 17/20 (Sportingbet) are great value against Portsmouth while MK Dons and Walsall can pick up League One wins.
Coventry made a horrendous start to the campaign in League One, failing to win any of their opening eight games but the appointment of Mark Robins has helped to steady the ship and now the new man at the helm is starting to find his feet, the Sky Blues have improved markedly.
Indeed, the Sky Blues have now won four of their last five matches in the league and they’re a steal at 17/20 with Sportingbet to overcome Portsmouth side whose season has collapsed with a run of six straight defeats.
Also looking good for a home success are Ladbrokes’ 8/13 favourites MK Dons, who host Colchester. The hosts have picked up four wins and a draw in five whereas the U’s have lost three of their previous, form that’s enough to convince us that Karl Robinson’s men should emerge triumphant.
Finally, we’re backing 888Sport’s 10/11 chances Walsall to inflict more misery on rock bottom Hartlepool. Admittedly, on the fact of it, a team that hasn’t won in 13 attempts is a tough sell but two consecutive draws at Crawley and Tranmere suggest the Saddlers are turning a corner and they face a hapless ‘Pools side whose form is beyond shocking.
