Live on SS1: Thu 08.00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s DP World Tour Championships ViewSelections
The European Tour season draws to a close in Dubai this week with DP World Tour Championships and Rory Mcllroy winner of money list on both sides of the atlantic heads the field here at 13/2 with Betvictor and all 12 Winning Ryder Cup Players from European Team are playing.
I expect a decent showing from Lee Westwood at 14/1 (William Hill) but at 35/1 with Stan James I simply cannot ignore Scot Paul Lawrie whom has had a wonderful 2012 and shown good course form here last year,with1/4 the first 5 Lawrie looks a great each way punt here.
Of course the Sponsers would love the cream to come to the top every week but it does not always work out that way and this is a field with quality all the way through. Branden Grace is surely over the odds at 60/1 at bet365 have become a multiple winner ona variety of courses in 2012 while this course suits Alex Norens game and he is available at 66/1 at Skybet.com
These 3 against the field with a win saver on Mcllroy at 13/2 who despite missing the cut in Hong Kong has been the worlds dominant golfer in the 2nd half of 2012 and is capable of destroying the strongest fields as he showed when running away with PGA at Kiawah Island in August he is a rich talent that European Golf is lucky to have in a difficult economic period he and Europes Ryder Cup team have ensured European Golf has had yet another year to savour and remember in 2012.
Good luck
