Draw double can pay at 11/1

Live on Skysports 1: Sun 13.30 & 16.00: Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Man Utd is 23/10 with Skybet to finish all square.

Despite a dominant performance at the Stadium of Light, Liverpool emerged with only a point from the clash against Sunderland and as a result Brendan Rodgers’ men are still without a Premier League victory this term.

They’d be delighted to pick up their first maximum haul as they welcome rivals Manchester United to Anfield but bookies believe the Reds are slight underdogs ahead of the mouth watering showdown, Ladbrokes pricing them at 15/8 to send Sir Alex Ferguson’s charges back up the East Lancs Road empty-handed.

The visitors are a 9/5 chance via BetVictor so it’s clear that the layers don’t think there’s much between the two in light of Liverpool’s home advantage and with that in mind, Skybet can expect plenty of trade for the 23/10 they mark against a keenly contested stalemate.

Another 1-1 scoreline, replicating the result from last season’s corresponding fixture, is a 6/1 chance at William Hill, it’s 9/2 courtesy of BetVictor to be level at the end of each half and in what looks destined to be a tight affair, a case can be made for a match tally of fewer than three goals at 17/20 with bet365.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean there isn’t an abundance of attacking talent likely to be on display and two players in particular pose a significant threat. For the hosts, Luis Suarez bagged Liverpool’s leveller at Sunderland and he’s an enticing 5/2 (Stan James) to net at any time in this one while at the other end, bet365 make Robin van Persie 13/10 to strike.

That Merseyside showdown isn’t the only titanic tussle on the agenda in the Premier League. Over at the Etihad Stadium, champions Manchester City host Arsenal and like the Anfield battle, this one could also prove to be inconclusive.

The hosts of course, are odds-on favourites at 4/5 with Stan James but they haven’t exactly convinced so far this term while Paddy Power’s 15/4 outsiders Arsenal by contrast, have impressed in recent weeks and they catch the eye at 14/5 (Skybet) to snare a point. Statistics suggest that both teams should score, an outcome bet365 quote at 4/6 and bold punters might fancy chancing their arm on a 2-2 stalemate at 14/1 via BetVictor.

Elsewhere, Paddy Power’s 8/15 favourites Tottenham can get the better of QPR and with Rangers struggling for goals a touch, Spurs represent solid value at 13/8 courtesy of Ladbrokes to combine victory with a clean sheet at White Hart Lane, where William Hill price a 2-0 home win at 7/1.

Meanwhile, in a typical game of two halves on Monday, Newcastle battled back to rescue a decent point at Everton and buoyed by that result the Magpoes are hard to overlook at 4/5 (BetVictor) as they welcome Norwich to St James’ Park. It was Demba Ba’s double that got Alan Pardew’s side out of jail at Goodison Park and the unsettled striker is a 5/1 shot at Stan James to break the deadlock in this one.

Recommended Bets:
Double on draws at Liverpool and Man City – 11/1 (Skybet)
Spurs to beat QPR ‘to nil’ – 13/8 (Ladbrokes)
Demba Ba to score first 5/1 (Stan James)
