William Hill are offering 7/4 that Alastair Cook manages to win back world number 1 Test status as England Test captain.
Cook is 4/1 to become the longest serving captain and 5/1 to win the most Tests as a captain. Kevin Pietersen meanwhile is 8/11 not to play Test cricket again.
“Alastair Cook should make a good Captain but England have a very hard set of fixtures ahead and without Strauss & KP it is going to be very hard to regain number one status,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
