Live on Skysports 1: Sat 19.00: Phil Taylor is 7/4 (BetVictor) to win a fifth straight World Matchplay, starting this weekend in Blackpool.
James Wade is probably Phil Taylor’s biggest challenger and he is 11/1 (Blue Square) to go one better than last year’s runners-up place and win outright, as he did in 2007.
Adrian Lewis is actually the 10/1 2nd favourite via Ladbrokes and Simon Whitlock is 12/1 at Coral. Raymond van Barneveld will attract money at 14/1 (bet365) while Terry Jenkins, finalist twice in the last five years, is 50/1 with Betfred.
A nine dart finish is 5/4 to happen (Blue Square), as it has for the previous two World Matchplays.
